Established in 1980

Clyde started his first broaching company over 40 years ago, in a small garage. He and his business partner built their company from two broaching machines to a multi-million dollar operation. In 1976, Clyde severed his former partnership and retired for several years.

Restless and missing the day to day running of the company, Clyde and his wife Josephine started up Metro Broach in November of 1980. Metro Broach began in a small rented shop on Walcott Street in Ferndale. We quickly out grew this small shop and in 1984 we purchased our site on 9 Mile Road in Warren, where Metro Broach currently stands.

 Family Owned and Operated

To this day, Metro Broach is still owned by the companies founders Clyde and Josephine and they are still involved in the day to day operations of the plant. Their youngest daughter Karen started at Metro Broach in 1980 running broach machines and has been the office manager since 1998.

 Experienced Employees

Plant Manager Roger Green started with Metro Broach in 1984 and worked his way up to his current position. After leaving active duty in the United States Navy in 1982, Roger entered into an apprenticeship program under Peter Lazaris to become a tool maker. When Roger joined the Metro Broach team in 1984, he worked in the tool room first, training under our Head Tool Maker Raymond Ozlanski.

Roger is a hands-on plant manager who is not afraid to get his hands dirty. He is on the manufacturing floor daily, ready to step in to any aspect of the process to ensure the highest quality end result possible for our customers. Roger continued his service to our country by remaining in the U.S. Naval Reserve until April 2000, at which point he officially retired after serving 20 years.

Quality Inspector Allen Stroze has been with Metro Broach since 1992.
Our average operator has been with us for nearly four years.
